Working moms who have control over the start and end of their workday are not only more satisfied with their lives, they do more physical activity, get more sleep, have more leisure time and even watch less TV, according to post-doctoral research by Margo Hilbrecht, of the Centre for Families Work and Well-Being. Her findings are based on an analysis of data on time-use among parents of school-aged children, from Statistics Canada's General Social Survey. HIbrecht' will be presenting her findings at the Canadian Association for Work and Health Research Conference in Toronto, on May 28 and 29.
