Review of Canadian Leave Policies and Supports for Employed Parents

By: Donna Lero, Andrea Doucet, Dianne-Gabrielle Tremblay

The International Network on Leave Policies and Research produces an annual review of leave policies and related research in 25 countries. The annual review, first published in 2004, covers Maternity, Paternity and Parental leaves; leave to care for sick children and other employment-related measures to support working parents. Each country report also includes information about early childhood education and care policies and lists relevant publications and research.
Donna Lero co-authored the 2013 country report for Canada along with Andrea Doucet of Brock University and Diane-Gabrielle Tremblay, of the Télé-université of the University of Québec à Montréal.
